While Encounter Church is non-partisan, we are urging brothers and sisters in Christ to prayerfully participate in the election process this year. Before you head out to vote on Tuesday, we invite you to join us for a service of worship, prayer, meditation and the sharing of communion tomorrow, Monday, November 7 at 7pm. We’ll gather in unity as followers of Jesus, seeking to humble ourselves while praying for our leaders at the local, state and national level. We’ll pray for our neighborhoods, our world and unity for the Church. Please consider participating in this important time of reflective worship.
When Jesus started picking disciples, he called a man named Simon, who was called a Zealot absolutely despised the government. He was fed up with the way the government worked. Then Jesus called a tax collector, the worst government employees of all in the eyes of a Zealot. We’ve all picked sides. Name an issue, we have a side. The battle needs to be fought on our knees. Join us!
Romans 12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.
18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Romans 15:5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
