We live in a world of headlines, tweets, posts and quick bursts of information. We can feel informed and up-to-date because we’ve read the Cliff Notes of life. But how much do we really know? Similarly, if we build our understanding of God and our relationship with Him on passive interactions like sermons, podcasts, or verses-of-the-day, what might we be missing? You are invited to Step A Little Closer to God and His Word. During this semester, we will learn how to read and study God’s Word looking for original context and meaning as well as present day application. You will be challenged to read more slowly, look more deeply, and pause a little longer as you get to know God through the lens of biblical authors.
Special Note: Limited to 12 people. This group requires consistency and commitment; to that end, participants may only miss a maximum of 2 sessions throughout the semester.
