The Bundys have been working internationally since 1988. Married shortly after graduation, the Bundys accepted a call to international ministries and initially collaborated with sister denominations among youth and young adults in Madrid, Spain. The Bundys have three adult children, one of which is autistic and still lives at home. All three were born and raised in Spain.
In 1995, the Bundys initiated a small group in their living room that grew into what is now known as the Brethren in Christ in Spain with church communities in Madrid city, Madrid province, and Figueras (on the border with France). In the hopes of helping young people discover what God has designed for them, in 2006 they launched an internship program, Come Walk on the Edge, to prepare young people to reach an urban and postmodern society with the message of a God who exists and is interested in them.
Over the years, the Bundys have worn many hats: Mr. Bundy has been a computer programmer, life coach, pastor, finance coordinator, and counselor to name a few. Mrs. Bundy has taught English, Math, all kinds of seminars, and worked as an events coordinator, counselor, pastoral assistant, and finance representative.
After more than 30 years of ministry in Madrid, the Bundys have moved to Asturias in Northern Spain and have initiated a very different kind of ministry which has always been close to their hearts. Their home in Madrid was considered the Bundy Hostel with the many people who have stayed with them. Now, they own a Guesthouse on the Camino de Santiago (a network of pilgrimage trails). In their new setting, they are keenly interested in turning hearts to Jesus through their hospitality ministry and the different local associations of which they are a part. They are excited to see Spaniards open their hearts to follow Jesus.
